About the Team
In this role you will be reporting directly to one of the Procurement Managers. This role will be based at our Military Vehicle Excellence in Redbank.
About the Role
The Purchasing Officer ensures that all necessary materials, equipment and services are acquired on time, within budget, and in compliance with Defence standards.
As Purchasing Officer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment and services;
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and meet procurement needs;
- Coordinate with logistics teams to manage inventory levels;
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions, including purchase orders, contracts and delivery schedules; and
- Stay up-to-date on all relevant procurement policies, regulations and industry standards.

- Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract management;

- Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders;
- High level of integrity and professionalism and ability to work under pressure;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
