Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) is entrusted with the training delivery aspect of the contract, meaning that you will be at the front and centre of British Army training.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will drive quality through the project and product lifecycle and collaborate across a multi-disciplined team to meet the required standards. You will be required to work with internal and external teams (customers and suppliers).

Responsibilities & Tasks

 

  • Ensure compliance with the applicable standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001).
  • Own resolution of all quality-related matters, including root cause analysis using a recognised tool, e.g. 8D and/or 5 whys
  • Work closely with the delivery teams to embed quality considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Act as the point of contact to the prime contractor on all quality-related matters.
  • Conduct audits to assess quality system effectiveness and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support goods inward inspection procedures and create a suitable control process detailing required inspection levels related to performance
  • Prepare equipment for release and complete Certificates of Conformity. Conduct internal and external quality assurance audits.
  • Develop and report against quality metrics

Skills

  • Experience within quality assurance, preferably within a defence organisation.
  • Detail-oriented with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Very familiar with regulatory frameworks (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001) and up to date quality tools e.g 8D
  • Familiar with New Product Implementation (NPI) processes.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to mentor others in quality processes.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of defence quality standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively.
