About the Team
Based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE), our Supply Chain function play a pivotable role in the success of our programs. Working in a high-performing, tight-knit team, the Commercial Specialist (Subcontracts Specialist) will collaborate with multiple business units to ensure we have commercially-viable supplier agreements.
About the Role
The Commercial Specialist – Supply Chain will have broad exposure to the business and support the full subcontract lifecycle across a diverse domestic and international supply chain. You can expect some of your daily tasking to include pre-award negotiations, contract administration, risk review and performance management. The successful candidate will ensure all subcontract activities meet RDA’s commercial and legal policies and standards while achieving RDA’s business objectives. This role requires strong relationship management skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster effective engagement with suppliers and seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders and management. You will be a trusted business partner in a global business, supporting important work with talented colleagues across all business functions including but not limited to Procurement, Program Management, Production and Corporate.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Law or related field;
- Proven experience in commercial management, subcontract management, procurement or related field;
- Strong knowledge of contract management processes and procedures, contract law, and relevant regulations;
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; and
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
