About the Team
The Field Service Representative’s consist of a small nit team of 10, the group is of highly motivated staff members that work closely with CoA. The team is based out of Enoggera Army Barracks. The team help maintain the Boxer vehicle, this task varies from servicing through to full major repairs.
About the Role
The Field Service Representative is responsible for providing maintenance and advisory services for logistics and armoured (tracked or wheeled) vehicles, delivering reliable, high quality and timely service support to the customer.
The general and generic duties of the Field Service Representative include, but are not limited to:
Repairs and Maintenance
- Working at various sites to conduct, assist and or supervise in diagnosis and repairs on RDA supported vehicles, turrets and weapons;
- Documenting work order information in the RDA ERP/ISSDB;
- Being the face of the Rheinmetall brand when engaging with customers/stakeholders;
- Checking and monitoring the repair progress of supported vehicles and associated mission modules, turrets and weapons(mission systems); and
- Checking and resolving requests for warranty settlement topic completeness, accuracy and plausibility.
Maintenance Advisory Services
- Providing Maintenance Advisory Services as a subject matter expert on Rheinmetall products;
- Undertaking Acceptance and documentation of technical inquiries from the customer/end user;
- Performing technical investigations associated with faults or damages of equipment;
- Preparing reports associated with technical investigations, including technical inspection reports or technical briefs; and
- Fulfilling other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with Line Manager from time to time.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- +3 years’ experience maintaining a fleet of (light, medium and heavy) trucks/ armoured vehicles (tracked and wheeled), servicing and repairing diesel engine and heavy trucks/equipment and all sub-system components, specifically from European manufacturers;
- Experience with maintaining turrets;
- Automotive diagnostic skills, specifically with European manufacturers;
- CANBUS experience;
- Currently hold or has the ability to gain the appropriate Australian Security Clearance;
- Conversant with the current Land Materiel Safety Manual and ADF technical regulatory requirements;
- Willingness to travel interstate and internationally for extended periods; and
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision.
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
