Marketing specialist

Reporting to the Manager Government Relations in Ottawa, the candidate will support marketing efforts, primarily by developing content to promote Rheinmetall Canada's know-how while preserving its corporate image.

The candidate is comfortable writing or editing content related to both technical and commercial aspects as our portfolio of systems and products comes from the field of high technologies.

The candidate will also be required to support the coordination of various business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Perform research on industry trends and other pertinent details to ensure adequate context for the creation and writing of texts.
• Collaborate with technical teams to identify and gather relevant marketing material.
• Conceptualize and synthesize key information to be communicated.
• Write content with impact and accuracy for a variety of marketing resources such as brochures and product datasheets, website, publications, presentations, white papers, videos, etc.
• Support the organisation of exhibitions, visits, conferences, and other professional events in Canada and abroad.
• Work in collaboration with external stakeholders for earned and paid media opportunities.

Requirements:

• Have a degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or other related field.
• Have minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Possess impeccable written English (grammar, punctuation, vocabulary).
• Have superior communication skills in French and English (verbal and written).
• Possess good analytical and synthesis skills, and strong conceptual and critical thinking.
• Be attentive to details, proactive, versatile, organized, and diplomatic.
• Master the Microsoft Office suite tools. Assets
• Have experience working with earned and paid media landscape or in defence publications.
• Have experience in a field related to high technology or in the defence sector.
