WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Perform Small and Medium Arms tests.
- Preparation & calibration of test instrumentation.
- Preparation & conditioning of test ammunition.
- Fault finding and problem solving.
- Interpretation of the quality of the data.
- Reporting and archiving of test data.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep track of Small and Medium Arms Section equipment, spares and component stock.
- Keep track of Small and Medium Arms Section reference ammunition levels and performance.
- Keep track of RDM propellants and specifications.
- Inform clients about technical information regarding propellants.
- Assist all other test sections as required.
- Adhere to all applicable legislation within RDM.
- Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
POST REQUIREMENTS:
- National Senior Certificate or NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
- NQF 5 in Engineering would be advantageous.
- At least 5 year’s practical experience in the explosives manufacturing.
- Knowledge of handling hazardous substances and explosive material.
- Experience with operating machinery would be an added advantage.
- Experience with operating measurement equipment would be an added advantage.
- Experience with firearms would be an added advantage.
- Firearm competency would be an added advantage.
- Membership to a hunting/ sport shooting club or association would be an added advantage.
- Computer Literacy (MS Office packages)
- Code B Driver’s License.
