SAP Application Specialist FICO

About the Team

Our SAP team are part of our wider Information Technology function, focusing on the implementation of SAP applications to assist with the achievement of business outcomes. The team consists of a number of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) that focus on specific functional areas (i.e. Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) that work in conjunction with the SAP S/4HANA Developers.

About the Role

Reporting into the Senior Manager SAP, the SAP Application Specialist FICO will be responsible for the design, configuration and support of SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an SME, you will work closely with the business to understand and gather requirements, consulting across functions to integrate business process and applications effectively. The successful candidate will operate primarily within a BAU environment with opportunities to contribute to projects, focusing on functional specifications for development, testing and end-user training.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

• Degree and practical experience in Finance/Accounting/Commerce or related disciplines;
• Proven experience in a similar senior SAP FICO role;
• Deep functional expertise across Financial Accounting (FI) — including General Ledger (universal journal/ACDOCA), Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and period-end close;
• Strong Controlling (CO) capability — spanning Cost Centre Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Material Ledger/Actual Costing, Production Order costing, WIP, settlement, variance calculation, and CO-PA;
• Ability to Integrate with Supply Chain Modules (PS, SD, MM, PP, QM);
• Strong and proven experience with SAP implementation in large and complex environments; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
