Senior Field Service Technician – Simulator ICT

About the Team

You will be a part of a small team based in Puckapunyal, VIC.  As the face of Rheinmetall you will be working alongside the Australian customer. Specifically for the Land 400 Phase 2 Boxer CRV Simulation and Training solution. There will be a requirement to travel to Bandiana when needed.

About the Role

This role tests, troubleshoots, installs and removes simulator equipment, while performing IT centric tasks. Such as, maintaining simulator network infrastructure, performing software refreshes and administering user accounts and access in accordance to the customer operating requirements. You will be required to provide support to networks, servers and associated equipment. Allowing the simulators to function and interconnect to a wider network.

While no defence terminology knowledge is required for the role it would be advantageous if you have worked in a defence environment previously.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

• Minimum Cert III or IV qualifications in Information Technology, Mechatronics, Network Administration or related field.

• Extensive experience with Windows, Windows Server, Active Directory & Linux system administration.
• Extensive experience in maintaining and configuring complex IT systems & networks.

• Extensive experience with configuration management of hardware, software and documentation.
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
