Controlling Service Deputy & Safety Manager
Rheinmetall Electronics UK Ltd. in Warminster
Ref.-Nr.: UK00806
Schedule type: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent Full-Time
At OMNIA Training, we’ve brought together some of the UK’s most innovative defence training organisations into a single consortium to delivery one powerful mission: to transform the British Army’s training system and create the best-trained Army in the world.
OMNIA Training will redefine the British Army’s collective training, standing up as the Army’s Strategic Training Partner. To do that, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK. We are backed by British innovation and powered by world-class experts, like you.
OMNIA Training is primed by Raytheon UK, but all five partners (Raytheon, Rheinmetall, Capita, Skyral and Cervus) are key to delivering the scope of the contract.
Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) is entrusted with the training delivery aspect of the contract meaning that you will be at the front and centre of British Army training.
This is more than a job — it’s a mission. You will be part of a high-impact, collaborative environment, where we expect everyone to live the values and standards of the British Army. Every person in our team plays a critical role in delivering OMNIA Training’s vision; designing, delivering, and transforming collective training so the British Army is ready to fight and win.
As the Controlling Service Deputy and Safety Manager, you will lead the safety aspect of the Omnia Training delivery. You will apply safety and environmental management procedures in accordance with relevant policies, and coordinate emergency response capabilities should they be required, for example controlling routes for emergency response and supporting the Authority with exercise control (trainees and exercise staff). You will support the Controlling Service Lead in the leading of multiple deployable teams of engineers. You will ensure that training exercises worldwide are compliant with military standards, delivered safely and effectively. You will help drive innovation in the wider Collective Training Transformation Programme and ensure our training capabilities deliver world-class readiness for the British Army both at home and on overseas operations.

- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and coordinate large-scale training deployments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across ranks and departments.
- Proficiency in training management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Adaptable mindset with a strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
Personal Attributes
We are looking for individuals who want to serve. You’ll have a mission focus, and the enthusiasm and drive to ‘get things done’. You’ll want to work in collaboration with other defence training organisations, and the British Army. You won’t let bureaucracy get in the way of what needs to be done, you’ll learn lessons and share these lessons across the team. You won’t necessarily have a military background, but you’ll understand what it means to serve and to put the mission first.
