About the Role

Rheinmetall Defence Australia is currently developing Simulation and Training Equipment for the Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle (CRV).

The Linux Administrator will be responsible for the deployment and sustainment of Linux based virtual and physical networks, and IT infrastructure for a TMS to be implemented across multiple sites within Australia.

This role is a 6-month contract with potential for extension.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in System Administration, Networking, Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with planning, documenting, configuring physical and virtual hardware and networks
  • Experience with Linux configuration and administration
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
  • Long weekends every second week with a 9-day fortnight;
