Mechanical Engineering Intern

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Perform; deliver Industrialization activities to ensure production readiness. Perform continuous improvement initiatives in order to achieve Quality, Cost and Safety targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the engineers with project planning and implementation activities.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, reports, for tooling and equipment.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the engineering team.
• Assist with the planning, conducting test and evaluations to verify the tooling/ equipment and system performance.
• Ensure the designs are environmentally friendly and comply with the company policy and ISO14001 systems.
• Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy

POST REQUIREMENTS:

• • Completed S4 subjects in Mechanical Engineering or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Analytical thinker with good reasoning and problem-solving skills on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Basic knowledge for developing of 2D/3D models and CAD modelling.
  • Professional and well-groomed
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools and advance Excel
  • High analytical with excellent communication
  • Active team player, achievement & deadline orientation and process driven.

  • Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings
