Project Manager Maritime Systems (m/f/d)

As a Project Manager (m/f/d), you will have the opportunity to organise exciting projects in an international environment. You will structure your working environment and your tasks yourself and put your heart and soul into ensuring that projects run successfully. From the sustainable development of business relationships to the technical support of project interfaces, you will work independently and holistically.

Your tasks:

• Responsible for the performance- and quality-orientated planning and execution of projects while adhering to the cost and schedule framework
• Sustained maintenance of customer and supplier contacts
• Ensuring external and internal contract, risk and claim management (in cooperation with the respective specialist departments)
• Technical management of interdisciplinary project teams
• Leading negotiations with customers, partners and suppliers in coordination with the specialist departments involved
• Managing suppliers during project execution
• Supporting the sales department in acquisition projects

This department offers a wide range of possible assignments in the projects to be supervised. Main topics are for example:

• Naval training simulators with a development focus on sonar, sensor technology, command and control systems and effectors on board naval vessels
• Nautical and ship operation training simulators
• Naval on-board systems such as tube weapons and electro-optical sensors
• Networking of mission systems and command and control systems, e.g. to support multi-domain operations

• Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering or similar
• Several years of experience in project management, preferably in a technical environment. Alternatively, experience in system development with the aim of moving into project management
• Knowledge of the design and realisation of software-heavy systems, from requirements analysis to acceptance, is desirable
• Business fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Positive and open demeanour when dealing with customers and willingness to work in an international environment
• Willingness to travel worldwide (usually max. two weeks at a time)
