POSITION: Warehouse Controller (x2) DIVISION: Supply Chain Management and Services - Boksburg REPORTING TO: Warehouse Supervisor PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Execute warehouse activities in support of the overall RDM supply chain strategy, in line with RDM Business Plan, to be achieved by the following; Receiving of stock, safe-keeping of raw materials, issuing stock to end–users, material expediting for on-time delivery to end-users, coordinating material returns and management of inventory levels. Major contribution on inbound and outbound logistics, good customer service & logistics to internal clients. Consistent adherence & compliance to logistics procedures that support the execution of the Business Plan. |
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Inbound Logistics: Receive goods and services according to RDM procedure (Purchase Order, Delivery notes, Invoices, Certificate of Conformance / Analysis).
- Inventory Management: Ensure stock accuracy in the warehouse; Execute cycle count activities as scheduled; Execute stock take activities as per RDM procedure; Implement standard part identification, Ensure On-Time Goods Receipts & Binning process, Apply FIFO, Maintain shelf-life and batch / lot of materials in the warehouse.
- Outbound Logistics: Execute issuing plan to avoid production stoppages or delays, Issue goods and services according to RDM procedure (Issue goods and services adhering to required documentation (stock reservation, production order, picking list)); Ensure that goods issued are quality approved; Ensure on time goods issuing.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain 5S housekeeping and cleanliness in the warehouse; correct archiving and filing of documentation in the warehouse; Identify and Implement continuous improvement ideas.
- Safety and Security in the Warehouse: Ensure that all the SHE requirements in the warehouse are adhered to; Ensure safe use of equipment and machinery in the warehouse; Ensure that material is safely secured at all times; Maintain strict access control in the warehouse.
- Grade 12 / Matric;
- Certificate in Supply Chain; Operations or Equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the warehouse environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in working with warehouse management systems.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in conducting stock take and cycle counts.
- Transactional exposure and knowledge of SAP ERP System is a must.
- Sound experience on Computer programmes (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of operations or production processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes.
- Technical knowledge or experience will be an added advantage.
- Clear security screening record.
- Valid Forklift license.
- Valid overhead license (5T).
