POSITION SUMMARY

This position will provide technical support to analyze returning part to confirm all products delivered to customers are manufactured in accordance with established quality and safety standards as well as meeting customer specifications.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years related manufacturing experience
• Intermediate computer knowledge / MS Office (Word, Excel, Project . . .)
• Knowledgeable and experienced in use of testing equipment, leak tester electrical testers and current AIAG standards

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

• Assist in the resolution of customer notification between various departments within the organization
• Support Warranty team to interface with customer for issues up to initiation of escalation process (including, but not limited to, supporting communication/coordination between the Pierburg plant and local contractors for sorting or reworking parts)
• Create technical report on warranty tested parts
• Perform pickup at engine plants or shipments of parts to and from the local laboratory and assist in the disposition of part based on results of inspections performed
• Maintain testing equipment, flowmeter, etc.
• Perform assigned/requested special testing as support the analysis of warranty parts within the organization (dimensional layouts, special test request, counter measurements, etc…)
