Welding technician at Rheinmetall

As a welder (m/f/d) at Rheinmetall, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds that can withstand the most demanding conditions. Whether MAG, MIG, TIG or manual arc welding – with your experience in welding technology, you will confidently interpret technical drawings and ensure high quality.

Ihre Aufgaben im Überblick:

Fusion welding for the pre-alignment and welding of welded assemblies in accordance with drawings
Assembly of simple to complex protective assemblies in accordance with drawings
Welding of protective assemblies using the MSG welding process
Carrying out final production checks and preparing documentation in accordance with the regulation as part of the worker’s self-inspection
Also acts as a stand-in (m/f/d) across various trades within the Welding Technology Department
Setting up, operating and maintaining equipment, tools and machinery
Alignment of assemblies
Possibility of carrying out non-destructive material testing

The product: FV-014 Loitering Munition System

The FV-014 is a state-of-the-art loitering munition system designed specifically for the demands of today's and tomorrow's battlespace.
The drone has a range of up to 100 kilometres and can stay in the air for up to 70 minutes.
Production takes place entirely within the EU; only the flying parts are manufactured in Neuss.
The system is launched from a launch container using a booster. After launch, the FV-014 unfolds its folding wings and transitions to aerodynamic flight.

In view of the global security situation, Rheinmetall is focusing its activities on the defence and security sector. The space sector plays an important strategic role in this regard.

Satellite imagery is indispensable for both civilian and military purposes. Through its joint venture, Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions GmbH, Rheinmetall has set the strategic course for this significant market.

The joint venture plans to start production of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites in Neuss as early as mid-2026. SAR technology enables high-resolution imaging even at night or through clouds and fog.
