About us
Rheinmetall Weapon Munitions UK Limited (RWM UK) – a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rheinmetall Group and part of the Weapon and Ammunition Division – is Rheinmetall's centre of excellence for the production and maintenance of large calibre weapon systems in the United Kingdom. In particular, smoothbore weapon systems for main battle tanks in 120 mm and artillery systems in 155 mm calibre. Our British and international customers will benefit from the Group's many years of expertise in the field of large calibre weapons.
One of Europe's most modern production facilities is currently being setup in Telford – the "UK Gun Hall" project. Our team is growing rapidly.
UK Gun Hall
A landmark investment in Telford is the UK Gun Hall, a new sovereign facility for manufacturing large calibre weapon systems on British soil. The Gun Hall – part of the UK-Germany Trinity House Agreement – will strengthen NATO's operational readiness, secure future artillery programmes and directly support the Challenger 3 programme, and Boxer production. The project is expected to create around 100 highly skilled jobs within the facility, with further employment supported across the wider UK supply chain. The virtual ground-breaking ceremony for the UK Gun Hall took place during DSEI on 11 September 2025.

Systems & Products
The new plant in Telford will focus on the production of large calibre weapon systems for the United Kingdom. Its main products include barrels and breeches for 120 mm and 155 mm calibre guns. The plant will enable the complete assembly of these weapon systems on site.
