RWM Italia S.p.A., a fully owned subsidiary of the Rheinmetall Group and part of the Weapon and Ammunition Division, is Rheinmetall's centre of excellence for underwater defence and countermining systems, warheads and loitering munitions. RWM Italia is a longstanding supplier to the defence departments, ministries and armed forces of Italy, its allies and other like-minded nations.

  • Evaluation/analysis of warhead designs, explosive trains, selection of energetic materials in order to achieve specified effects, etc.;
  • Preparation of technical documentation (e.g. test plans and reports, technical reports, specifications)
  • When required, carry out laboratory analyses on inert or explosive materials;
  • Interface with and support the other functions with in the engineering function (mechanical, electronic, etc.) and other wider functions within RWM Italia (e.g. Production, Quality Assurance, Business Development and Sales), as required

This position is permanently located in Domusnova, Sardinia. Attendance on site is highly required.

  • Higher education in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Previous experience in the field of explosives would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint essential)
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems desirable
  • Advanced command of English, written and spoken; good command of Italian as an advantage
  • Willing to relocate if necessary, and prepared to travel occasionally if required between the company’s different locations (in particular Ghedi) or internationally
