Rheinmetall Hungary Munitions Zrt, a member of the Rheinmetall Group, is looking for a Purchasing Team Leader for its new factory in Várpalota.
Your main tasks will be:
- Lead daily purchasing and procurement activities
- Lead and support the procurement team by setting priorities, providing guidance, and fostering professional development
- Ensure sourcing of materials, components, and services in accordance with production plans
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning and warehouse teams to prevent shortages or excess stock
- Identify, evaluate, and manage approved suppliers in compliance with quality and defense requirements
- Conduct supplier performance reviews focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and compliance
- Support supplier audits in collaboration with quality and compliance departments
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms
- Ensure that procurement activities align with budgetary and cost-control targets
- Ensure that procurement processes comply with company policies, ISO/AQAP standards, and applicable defense regulations
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation, traceability records, and approval workflows
- BA degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or any related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing
- Proven experience in leading or coordinating small procurement teams
- Strong understanding of supplier qualification, contract negotiation, and cost management
- Experience working with ERP (SAP)/MRP systems and procurement modules
- Fluent knowledge of Hungarian and English is a must
- Ability to guide and motivate a procurement team in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong capability to negotiate commercial terms while maintaining supplier relationships
- Data-driven approach to cost analysis, supplier performance, and risk assessment
- Effective coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities
- Proactively identify opportunities to optimize procurement processes
- A team player who demonstrates determination, energy and enthusiasm
