Senior System Engineer Data Center (m/w/d)

  • Architect, design and engineer secure Data Center Network solutions supporting business-critical applications and hybrid infrastructure environments
  • Ownership over technical lifecycle, operational excellence and continuous improvement of assigned Data Center Network service offerings
  • Establish and govern network design standards segmentation architectures and connectivity patterns for modern Data Center environments based on Cisco Nexus, NDFC and VXLAN technologies
  • Design, implement and optimize Data Center fabric architectures, routing and switching infrastructures to ensure high availability, performance and scalability
  • Align Data Center Network and Security architectures with Zero Trust principles, enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements
  • Proactively analyze, optimize and forecast service performance, capacity requirements and technology lifecycle needs across assigned services
  • Lead advanced troubleshooting activities and perform root cause analysis for complex infrastructure, security and application connectivity challenges
  • Drive automation, standardization and technical debt reduction initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service reliability

This position can be filled in Düsseldorf, Berlin, Bremen, Kiel, Kassel or Unterlüß.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Multiple years’ experience in enterprise networking, with deep expertise in Data Center Networking and Network Security environments
  • Experience designing, implementing and operating Cisco Nexus-based Data Center infrastructures, including NDFC and VXLAN fabric architectures
  • Strong practical experience with enterprise firewall platforms, preferably Check Point, including security policy management and network segmentation technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, VRF, VLAN and high-availability networking concepts
  • Hands-on experience operating and optimizing F5 load balancing solutions, application delivery services and traffic management technologies
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, network security architectures micro-segmentation and enterprise security controls
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, or equivalent certifications are highly valued
