Technical Project Manager, Electrical/Electronic Systems Development (m/f/d)

Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH (RLS) is one of the world’s leading suppliers of armored tracked and wheeled vehicles, turret systems, and NBC reconnaissance systems. Within Rheinmetall AG, it represents the Tactical Vehicles business unit and is responsible for sales, development, production, and order and service processing.

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Leading interdisciplinary internal and external specialist teams, as well as suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ensuring that deliverables are provided on time, on quality, and within budget
  • Overseeing the entire product development process for electrical/electronic systems and their components
  • Collecting, structuring, and maintaining technical requirements
  • Ensuring consistent model- and/or document-based development
  • Technical subproject management with responsibility for quality, cost, and schedule in implementation and integration
  • Ensuring interface compatibility and overall vehicle integration
  • Compliance with architecture, process, safety, diagnostics, testing, and security requirements
  • Reporting on status, risks, and progress to project management and line management

This position can be filled in Kassel or Kiel.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (e.g., electrical engineering, mechatronics, systems engineering, automotive engineering) or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in the coordination and development of complex subsystems or complete systems
  • Experience in (sub-)project management
  • Proficiency in DOORS, Teamcenter, and MBSE is a plus
  • Excellent written and spoken German, as well as good written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently and strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work
