Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf unveiled as the latest additions to Team Wolf’s growing family of tactical mobility solutions
Millbrook, UK – 17 September 2026 - The Wolf Pack is growing. Team Wolf, bringing together Rheinmetall UK and Mercedes-Benz UK, has unveiled Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf at DVD 2026 – the latest additions to its family of tactical mobility solutions designed to meet the British Army’s evolving mobility requirements.
Joining Shadow Wolf and Caracal, Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf demonstrate the breadth of the Team Wolf proposition: a complete family of tactical mobility solutions, designed to deliver multiple operational roles while maximising commonality across the fleet.
Built on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class for rescue and special operations, which provides the Common Base Platform, Team Wolf brings together Mercedes-Benz’s core competence of the proven, reliable vehicle base with Rheinmetall’s military integration and advanced mission-system capabilities – combining the strengths of both partners to deliver and support capability in the UK.
One fleet. Many missions.
At the heart of Team Wolf is a simple principle: one fleet, capable of delivering multiple missions.
Team Wolf provides a family spanning mobility, command, ambulance, troop transport, sustainment and specialist roles, with common chassis, systems, interfaces, training and support helping to reduce complexity across the fleet.
This commonality is designed to simplify training, maintenance and sustainment, supporting higher levels of availability and readiness throughout the life of the fleet.
Rebecca Richards, Managing Director of Rheinmetall UK said: “The unveiling of Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf is an exciting next step for Team Wolf and demonstrates that the Wolf Pack is about much more than individual vehicles. We are bringing forward a complete family of tactical mobility solutions designed around commonality, operational readiness and the ability to evolve as the British Army’s requirements change. Rheinmetall UK brings the military integration, mission-system expertise and sovereign UK capability to turn a proven platform into mission-ready capability. By engineering, integrating, supporting and evolving the Wolf Pack here in the UK, we are investing in British skills, suppliers and industrial capability while giving the Army a fleet designed to remain relevant and ready throughout its service life.”
Olivier Reppert, CEO & Managing Director at Mercedes-Benz Cars UK said: ‘’For more than 45 years, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has proven its strength in the toughest conditions. With Team Wolf, we are contributing exactly that: a reliable, highly adaptable vehicle foundation that enables Rheinmetall UK to develop mission-specific solutions for the British Army. It is a clear partnership of strengths – proven Mercedes-Benz technology combined with Rheinmetall’s specialist defence expertise.”
Built for Britain. Ready for the mission.
At the heart of Team Wolf is a commitment to British industry and sovereign UK capability.
The Wolf Pack will be engineered, integrated, supported and evolved at Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) in Telford, bringing together the people, skills, facilities and domestic supply chain required to deliver and sustain capability for the British Army.
With a UK Design Authority and UK systems integration capability, Team Wolf is targeting up to 50% UK content, engaging 30 UK suppliers, including SMEs from across the country, and supporting hundreds of British jobs.
This approach is designed not only to deliver vehicles, but to establish the sovereign skills, industrial capability and resilient supply chain required to support and evolve the fleet over the long term – contributing to the UK’s drive towards greater warfighting readiness while backing British industry.
Common support. Built for the long term.
Team Wolf’s proposition extends beyond vehicle delivery.
The Wolf Pack is backed by an assured through-life support approach, bringing together Rheinmetall UK and Mercedes-Benz UK expertise with domestic support capability and the reach of an established global network.
Designed around fleet readiness, the approach will provide support for more than 20 years, helping to maximise availability while providing a clear route for upgrades and capability growth throughout the life of the programme.
The unveiling of Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf alongside Shadow Wolf and Caracal at DVD 2026 brings the Wolf Pack together – demonstrating a family designed around proven mobility, operational flexibility, commonality and long-term readiness.
