LM-VAMPIR

Variable Multi Purpose Infrared

Different missions require different solutions. Rheinmetall's LM-VAMPIR contains a total of five laser sources in its robust all-metal housing. Three aiming lasers, classified into the visible aiming laser, IR aiming laser and SWIR (short wave infrared) aiming laser. In addition, two laser-based illumination modes are available: The classic IR illuminator and a short wave infrared SWIR-Illuminator. Featuring an integrated Picatinny mount, the LM-VAMPIR adds only 25 mm to the weapon and allows seamless integration to most common assault rifles and submachine guns. The limitation of the maximum laser power of the LM-LowProfile is ensured with a blue safety screw.

To protect the eyes, the LM-VAMPIR uses the concept of the power-limiting blue safety screw.

"Train as you fight" - the use of the blue safety screw allows realistic training with mission-relevant equipment. The laser power is - depending on your choice - either reduced (training) or released to the maximum (combat).
