About Rheinmetall IT Solutions
Rheinmetall IT Solutions GmbH, headquartered in Düsseldorf, acts as an internal IT service provider and consulting company for the Rheinmetall Group worldwide.
The company was founded in 2020 with the aim of offering IT business, which was previously sourced in full outsourcing, fully within the company again and to make all IT core competences available to Rheinmetall worldwide.
In the medium term, Rheinmetall IT Solutions will ensure the operation of all local and wide area networks, the company's own data centres, all digital workplaces and the necessary infrastructures at the company locations. The colleagues on site are supported by a 24/7 Security and Network Operations Centre to ensure the highest possible system availability for our business at all times.
In addition, we are investing heavily in the development of our "Application Management (AMS)" and "IT Security" divisions. The focus of our work in AMS includes developments for SAP S/4HANA and Siemens PLM. Our own IT Project Management Office (PMO), in cooperation with the Enterprise Demand Management division, ensures that business requirements are recorded in a structured manner and that projects are successfully managed throughout all phases at all times.
IT is also a sparring partner for business in the development of new, innovative business fields and operates the necessary infrastructures and collaboration tools on behalf of Rheinmetall subsidiaries in Germany and abroad.
The business of Rheinmetall IT Solutions GmbH is managed by Volker Schwarz (CEO) and Klaus Neumann (CFO). Volker Schwarz is Rheinmetall AG's Chief Information Officer (CIO) and in this role is responsible for the group's overall IT strategy.
The CIO Office covers various overarching functions that support the entire IT organisation and are essential for successful and legally compliant IT operations and service provision.
The main areas of responsibility are central IT purchasing as well as contract, supplier and licence management, plus controlling, strategic and analysis-related topics. In addition, the tasks also include acting as an interface to the central service divisions and committees of the Rheinmetall Group.
