About the Team
Reporting to the Material Planning Lead the Material Planner will be an integral part of the material management team and will interact with the warehouse, inventory, procurement, production planning and operations teams.
About the Role
The Material Planner will ensure that the supply of materials to meet the production schedule, after sales is known and communicated. Monitor minimum stock levels and escalate where required to ensure operational and production continuity. Review and monitor MRP outputs to ensure material demand is aligned to production requirements. The position is responsible for ensuring all materials have demand satisfied and shortfalls are identified and will facilitate expediting to minimise production impact.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Schedule the supply of materials/components;
- Understand and manage risks to minimise impact on production schedule;
- Take actions in relation to material shortages that affect production;
- Utilise any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required;
- Prioritise MRP purchase recommendations and provide guidance to purchasing department;
- Monitor the impact of engineering change on production material availability;
- Experience with SAP or similar EPR systems;
- Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
