Senior Radiographic Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform radiographic (X-ray) inspection and interpretation of images, including sentencing of components, in accordance with applicable acceptance standards and specifications.
  • Examine products for possible internal and external defects.
  • Ensure the best practice techniques are properly and consistently utilized for inspection activities.
  • Ensure compliance to applicable company systems requirements and maintain traceability of all inspected components/products.
  • Ensure completion of documentation associated with projects.
  • Sentencing of components based on the applicable specification.
  • Ensure effective identification, segregation, and control of non-conforming products in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Manage and prioritise workload within the test section to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of all inspection activities.
  • National Senior Certificate with NDT Radiation Testing Level II qualification.
  • National Diploma in NDT, Digital Imaging, MT Level II, PT Level II, and HT experience would be advantageous
  • Radiation Protection Officer qualification and Licensed RT Level II certification required.
  • At least 5–10 years’ NDT experience, with focus on radiation testing.
  • Certification to conduct internal SHEQ audits would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, technique sheets, and procedures.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
  • High attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive work accurately.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
  • Logical, self-motivated, reliable individual with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word & Excel essential).
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including short-notice shift changes.
