WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A challenging and dynamic role, characterised by a sense of responsibility and commitment, within a leading global defence group. Within the Strategic Programs International department, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Maintaining and expanding the network in strategic markets, with a focus on defence ministries and national and supranational procurement organisations in line with the corporate strategy
- Proactively identifying customer needs and deriving the necessary business development activities from them
- Internal coordination of group-wide, cross-business-unit and executive board-relevant defence projects during the sales and execution phases
- Acting as an interface to inform and advise the Executive Board on strategic and operational issues
- Monitoring performance and milestones, and, where necessary, initiating corrective measures in a timely manner for ongoing major projects
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- A successfully completed degree in communications, economics, political science, engineering or a comparable field
- Good industry knowledge and experience in dealing with international stakeholders in the defence sector, as well as knowledge of structures and working methods in national or multinational procurement
- Fluent written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of other foreign languages is desirable
- Confidence in ongoing communication with cross-sector, national and international stakeholders
- Good strategic, analytical and conceptual skills
- Willingness to travel extensively both nationally and internationally
