WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
Contract & Financial Instrument Management
- Review commercial contracts to optimize payment terms and mitigate financial risks.
- Participate in commercial contract reviews. Provide expert input regarding international payment terms, trade finance instruments, and financial structures.
- Negotiate letters of credit and financial instruments directly with commercial banks.
- Issue, extend, amend, and cancel corporate and bank guarantees.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Hedging foreign exchange exposures to protect commercial profit margins.
- Compile and submit exchange control applications to the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
- Ensure all cross-border trade transactions comply with local and international regulations.
Cross-Border Operations & Cash Management
- Own the end-to-end invoicing process for complex cross-border transactions.
- Take full operational responsibility for cross-border invoicing, international trade transactions, and cross-border accounts receivable (AR) collection strategies.
- Lead liquidity planning through accurate cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- BCom Finance degree or equivalent financial qualification.
- 10+ years of experience in Corporate Treasury or Corporate Banking relationship management.
- Proven track record handling South African exchange control and foreign exchange execution.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP experience is highly beneficial)
- Deep understanding of trade finance instruments (Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, FX Forwards) would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and complex financial problem-solving skills.
