About the Team

Located in Redbank in Ipswich, your new team will consist of Trade Assistants, Junior Technicians, Technicians, Senior Technicians and other Team Leads all working together as a part of the global integration Electronics Solution team, focusing on the production of electrical components related to the LAND 400 Phase 2 program.

About the Role

The Team Lead is a highly capable and experienced technician responsible for independently performing complex production and service activities, while also providing technical leadership, coaching, and daily operational support to Senior and below-level technicians. Beyond hands-on work, the Team Lead plays a critical role in driving team performance, ensuring consistent quality, and meeting productivity targets.

As a Team Lead, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Perform electronic production and service tasks with a high level of autonomy and quality.
  • Provide technical coaching, mentoring, and supervision to ES4 and below-level technicians.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of assigned tasks, ensuring deadlines, standards, and productivity goals are met.
  • Allocate and manage daily work orders, ensuring all job hours are correctly booked to achieve >90% productivity.
  • Support and maintain compliance with product handling procedures and quality standards.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

  • Certificate IV in Electrotechnology (or equivalent, AQF Level 4).
  • Extensive experience in the electronics industry, preferably in production and service environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of electronic systems, assemblies, and testing procedures.
  • Proven ability to lead small teams and coach junior technicians effectively.
  • Experience with reporting, task delegation, and productivity tracking.
  • Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
  • Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
