Software Integration Engineer

About the Team

Our Electronic Solutions division, based out of our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Queensland provide engineering solutions and support to our customer, the Commonwealth of Australia. As the Software Integration Engineer, you will be an important facet of our Training and Simulation team, working with other Subject Matter Experts to achieve technology that is at the forefront of development. 

About the Role

As the Software Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, integration and testing of software packages on the Rheinmetall Training and Simulation Systems. You will provide technical leadership and support to the development teams to plan any upgrade programs and determine the system architecture. You will rely on your experience from complex and regulated programs to ensure that configuration management and related documentation is maintained and accurate.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes: 

• Bachelors’ degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field;
• Proven experience in software development or integration of complex prototype systems;
• Broad knowledge across software, hardware, operating systems and Cyber Security;
• Experience within a high compliance environment with strong documentation standards; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
