Systems Engineer LYNX Variants (m/f/d)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Management and development of one variant of the LYNX vehicle.
  • Performing system-level analysis and specifying subsystem-level requirements while considering the overall system design
  • Technical balancing of system-level requirements to achieve the optimal system architecture
  • Ensure maximum functional and physical commonality at the assembly and component level for a common baseline and cross-customer variant
  • Define work packages together with internal and external delivery teams
  • Support the planning and execution of verification and validation activities
  • Responsibility for coordinating customer reviews and internal working groups, their actions and deliverables (e.g., consolidation of Specialty Engineering Assessments)
  • Control overall space, mass (weight), electrical power, and other major system budgets allocated to subsystems and components
  • Analyze, evaluate, and manage the implementation of all engineering changes, including in support of claims management
  • Provide cross-functional assurance with subject matter experts in CAE, environmental requirements, EMC, human factors, and safety (IEC 61508)
  • Support and contribute to planning, control and reporting of time, cost, quality and risk management
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • Completed (technical) university studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, aerospace or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of systems engineering as well as first knowledge in project management
  • Specific experience with ambulance vehicles
  • Experience with the integration of mortars or other barrel weapons desirable
  • Military background advantageous
  • Knowledge of procedures and methods according to INCOSE/GfSE or a comparable systems engineering approach desirable
  • Industry knowledge from the defense, automotive or aerospace industry is an advantage
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Independent and structured way of working
  • High degree of initiative and flexibility
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
