Expansions to U.S. production
American Rheinmetall Munitions has been rapidly bolstering its U.S. production footprint as part of a broader strategic effort to deepen its domestic manufacturing capabilities. The MK281 MOD 3 40mm High Velocity and the M1110 40mm Low Velocity Day-Night Training cartridges are produced at the company’s state-of-the-art facility located in Camden, AR. An established medium caliber “flex-line” at the Camden facility produces the PGU-48/B 25mm Frangible Armor Piercing (FAP) cartridge for the U.S. Air Force F-35A Joint Strike Fighter. In addition, American Rheinmetall Munitions has established a 40mm automated, airburst fuze production facility in Windham, ME, that not only provides a precision counter-defilade capability to Soldiers and Marines, but also brings advanced manufacturing to the U.S. defense industrial base while creating additional quality production and engineering jobs. The business of Expal USA Inc., headquartered in New Boston, TX, rounds out American Rheinmetall Munitions’ portfolio to include a full suite of demilitarization activities that provides cradle-to-grave support for the entire ammunition value chain.
