Rheinmetall Canada is a proud member of the German Rheinmetall group, and has been offering defence and security products since 1986. As we celebrate 40 years of excellence in Canada, our company is dedicated to put Canadian innovation at the core of our work. Located in facilities in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Ottawa, and Edmonton, nearly 400 employees put their expertise to work in order to deliver solutions that you can trust. In 2019, the company acquired Provectus Robotics Solutions Inc., a Canadian expert for autonomous navigation. Since this acquisition, Rheinmetall Canada has become a global leader on autonomous land solutions.
Rheinmetall Canada offers innovative solutions for vehicle systems and integration, air defence as well as weapon, command and communications, soldier and autonomous systems. Furthermore our offering includes ground support units.
In addition to offering our own solutions, we provide the Canadian market with Rheinmetall’s broad portfolio of system solutions, services and technologies in the areas of mobility, reconnaissance, management, effectiveness, simulation, and protection.

Recognized as a leading systems engineering and integration company in Canada, almost 60% of the company's business is for the Canadian Department of National Defence. In fact, Rheinmetall Canada is one of the largest providers of land defence systems and battle management systems to the Canadian Armed Forces and is prime contractor on several key programs, including the Multi-Ammunition Soft-kill System (MASS) for the Halifax-Class frigates, Medium Range Radar (MRR), and Tactical Armoured Patrol Vehicle (TAPV) In-Service-Support. Most recently Rheinmetall Canada was awarded the Advanced Sub-Unit Water Purification System (ASUWPS), the Enhanced Recovery Capability (ERC), and workshare on the Leopard Long-Term Sustainment Contract (LTSC).
Rheinmetall Canada has also become the leader in autonomous ground technologies, deploying PATH globally using expertise fully developed in Canada. Led by Rheinmetall Canada, Advanced Land Autonomy Centres of Excellence (ALACOEs) have been established across Europe and the USA.
In addition, the business comprises sales to international defence customers and commercial sales in the homeland security sector.
