Euronaval 2026: Rheinmetall presents a comprehensive portfolio for the naval forces of the future
Key Facts
- At Euronaval, taking place from 3 to 6 November 2026, Rheinmetall will showcase its cross-domain portfolio of products for naval forces.
- Highlights include the Kraken K3 Unmanned Surface Vessel, the Millennium Gun for naval systems and the MASS decoy system.
- Rheinmetall’s exhibition stand is located in Hall 6, Stand no. J61.
From unmanned surface systems to naval armament, Rheinmetall, as a cross-domain systems provider with a broad portfolio of technologies, supports the development of capable, networked and flexible naval forces.
The focus is on technologies and systems that meet the requirements of future maritime operational scenarios and support the development of a high-performance hybrid fleet. With the newly developed GMF 140 (Guided Missile Frigate), as well as unmanned surface systems such as the Kraken K3 and other maritime technologies, Rheinmetall addresses key requirements for the naval forces of the future.
The growing importance of unmanned systems, the networking of different platforms and the need to respond flexibly to dynamic threat environments are shaping the requirements for tomorrow’s navies. This calls for both capable crewed platforms and the intelligent integration of manned and unmanned systems. The hybrid fleet combines these capabilities into a high-performance overall system. As a systems provider, Rheinmetall supports this development with a broad portfolio ranging from combat ships and unmanned surface drones to lightweight naval armament.
Rheinmetall showcases Kraken K3 Unmanned Surface Vessel
The Kraken K3 Unmanned Surface Vessel, manufactured in series production at Rheinmetall’s Hamburg site, will be presented to a wider audience for the first time at this year’s Euronaval. In addition, the Düsseldorf-based technology group will showcase further maritime technologies and systems at the exhibition in Paris, including the MASS Nova decoy system and the Millennium Gun for naval systems, both of which make an important contribution to the operational effectiveness of surface combatants.
At Euronaval, Rheinmetall will also exhibit the FV-014 loitering munition system. Designed for highly mobile operations, the FV-014 combines reconnaissance, target identification and precision engagement in a single system. It is designed for operational ranges of up to 100 kilometres and is suitable for engaging both armoured and unarmoured targets. Advanced sensors, network connectivity and a high degree of autonomy enable operations even under challenging conditions and in the presence of GNSS interference.
For modernisation programmes and platform-independent operations, Rheinmetall will present the Millennium system at this year’s exhibition as a fully self-contained system solution. This configuration operates independently of the host vessel’s onboard data infrastructure. It integrates the Oerlikon AMMR (AESA Multi-Mission Radar), a modern S-band surveillance radar for short range air defence; a combined fire-control radar with an electro-optical tracker for precise target tracking; and a compact command and weapon control system (mini-CMS). The integrated mini-CMS combines all sensor data in real time, enabling the operator to exercise immediate, autonomous control over the entire engagement chain against highly dynamic threats in the air and on the water.
Euronaval Première: MASS Nova Decoy System
MASS Nova, the next generation of Rheinmetall’s proven Multi Ammunition Softkill System (MASS), will be presented at Euronaval for the first time. It features a newly developed launcher with variable launch angles and increased capacity for 81 mm Omni-Trap decoy munitions. The launcher can deploy 40+4 decoys. It can also fire the munitions more rapidly, enabling a faster response to incoming threats.
With Asteria, Rheinmetall will also showcase a new generation of multi-effect sea mines. Asteria meets the latest operational requirements. The mine can be deployed from surface vessels, transport aircraft and submarines, providing flexible operational support for a wide range of defence strategies. Asteria can be remotely controlled via a unique bidirectional acoustic link, enhancing its versatility in protecting harbours, straits, port facilities and critical areas.
