Rheinmetall Defence UK Limited (RDUK) was established in 2009 to strengthen its presence in the UK defence market, delivering advanced solutions to enhance the capabilities of the UK's armed forces. RDUK leads the BOXER Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV) programme and is partnered on the Challenger 3 Main Battle Tank. With a growing workforce, RDUK reflects Rheinmetall's global success in the UK market.

Our close collaboration with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), alongside significant investments such as the RBSL factory in Telford, Rheinmetall House in Bristol and the new Gun House, opening 2027, highlights our long-term commitment to the future of UK defence whilst continuing to take responsibility in a changing world.

Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land Limited
As a Joint Venture, Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land Limited (RBSL) combines Rheinmetall’s military vehicles technology and products, with the capabilities and products from BAE Systems, including Trojan, Terrier, Warrior, military bridging and the AS90 self-propelled artillery system.

Rheinmetall Electronics UK Ltd
Rheinmetall Electronics UK have been part of the Rheinmetall Group since 2009. The company was formerly known as RFEL Ltd and was established in 1999 to advance digital signal processing. The company is part of the Boxer MIV and Challenger 3 team, which drives two of the most important modernisation programs for the British Army.

Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles UK Ltd
Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles UK Ltd (RMMV UK) was formed in 2013 to take over the UK MOD Support Vehicle Through Life Support contract. Arrangements are now in place to novate the MOD contract from MAN Truck & Bus UK to RMMV UK on the 1st April 2018. RMMV UK, based in Bristol, will have 17 staff and a turnover of £15M.

Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH
Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH is an established participant in the UK market with two staff supplying a range of munitions to the UK MOD through the MASS contract. There are established B2B relationships with BAE Systems for the supply of propellant and both companies are currently collaborating on two UK artillery ammunition tenders. In addition, Rheinmetall has recently let a £3M contract to BAE Systems for the manufacture of artillery shell bodies to satisfy a German government order.

Rheinmetall Weapon Munitions UK Limited

Rheinmetall Weapon Munitions UK Limited was founded in Telford in 2025 and is powering ahead with its landmark the UK Gun Hall project. The UK Gun Hall forms part of a wider cooperative framework between the United Kingdom and Germany under the Trinity House Agreement, strengthening shared defence industrial capabilities. This initiative will restore Britain’s ability to manufacture large-calibre barrels on home soil.

RTP-UK Ltd
Rheinmetall Technical Publications GmbH (RTP) provides complex logistics engineering and technical publication services for the civil and military markets. The spectrum includes the creation of technical documentation for operation, inspection, maintenance and repair as well as spare parts documentation for aircraft, land and naval systems. Logistics analyses and concepts are also created as part of logistics engineering. The company is headquartered in Bremen with various locations in Germany and subsidiaries in the UK (RTP-UK Ltd), Switzerland and Australia.
