FCS-MR800

40mm fire control system

Calculated accurancy

The Rheinmetall FCS-MR800 fire control system is designed for 40mm LV (Low Velocity) and MV (Medium Velocity) grenade launchers. It can be mounted (e.g. with Picatinny Rail MIL-STD-1913/STANAG4694) on the grenade launcher: Single, Underslung or Multiple Grenade Launcher. The integrated ballistic computer stores the ballistics of 32 different ammunition types and calculates a ballistically corrected target point. With its precise range finding (built-in LRF) and accurately calculated elevation angle, the FCS-MR800 increases the (first) hit probability. It is completed by the electronically focusable IR illuminator and the two built-in aiming lasers (infrared and visible). The integrated motor for automatic elevation adjustment as well as the included IR-Air Burst Ammunition Programmer allows a significant combat value increase in target area.

Variable use

Improved night combat capability and increase (first) hit probability with 40mm projectiles - The FCS-MR800 fire control system includes a powerful visible aiming laser, IR laser, IR illuminator and laser range finder (LRF).

2064

For easy alignment of the lasers to the line of sight, the FCS-MR800 fire control system includes the specially designed, factory-aligned Rheinmetall laser block.

Visible aiming laser
The FCS-MR800 visible aiming laser enables precise and visual designation. The FCS-MR800's IR laser, which is invisible to the naked eye, is typically used in combination with night vision goggles (NVG). Both enable a significant increase in night combat capability, surprising effect, and hit probability.

IR aiming laser (not visible)
In addition, the FCS-MR800 fire control system has an infrared illuminator, which is not visible to the naked eye. In combination with night vision goggles (NVG), this provides optimal illumination at night, in dark rooms and in poorly lit target areas.

Laser range finder & Ballistic calculator
The FCS-MR800 offers a powerful, eye-safe laser range finder (LRF) that can not be detected by night vision devices (range up to 1500 m). Also integrated, the ballistic calculator for up to 32 types of ammunition. Both can be read/operated in the built-in and dimmable OLED display. The integrated servo motor adjusts the system to the calculated target point.

IR-ABM programmer
The FCS-MR800 includes an Air Burst Munition Programmer (IR-ABM Programmer). Air Burst Munitions (ABM) can be detonated in the air, allowing an effect in front of or above the target area - e.g. for engagement behind vehicles or walls.

Outstanding laser safety

For eye protection, the FCS-MR800 uses Rheinmetall's patented concept of color-coded trigger cables / dongles for laser and laser light modules.

"Train as you fight" - the free choice of power-defining trigger cables / dongles enables realistic training with mission-relevant equipment. The laser power is - depending on your choice - either reduced (training) or released to the maximum (combat).

Custom colors available, e.g. blue for training, black and grey for combat.
