LLM-VarioRay

First choice laser light module: all-round night combat capability

Compact design

The Rheinmetall LLM-VarioRay laser light module is the compact and enhanced successor to the combat-proven LLM-01. To enhance night combat capability, the laser light module combines a powerful IR laser, IR illuminator, a perfectly matched visible aiming laser (red or green) and an integrated LED white light weapon lamp in its compact housing. The rugged and MIL-STD-810 tested LLM-VarioRay uses the Picatinny Rail (MIL-STD-1913/STANAG4694) to interface with modern assault rifles or submachine guns. It can be mounted on either side along the barrel of the weapon - various mounting systems available.

Variable laser

Improved night combat capability and increased reaction speed - LLM-VarioRay laser light module includes a powerful visible aiming laser, IR laser, IR illuminator and LED white light weapon lamp. Optional LED-IR dual mode weapon lamp.

For easy alignment of the lasers to the line of sight, the LLM-VarioRay laser module includes the specially designed, factory-aligned Rheinmetall laser block.

Visible aiming laser (red or green)
When mounting the LLM-VarioRay on the Picatinny Rail, the visible aiming laser enables an exact marking of the aimed target and increases the (first) hit probability. The range here depends on various environmental influences and is normally several hundred meters.

IR aiming laser (not visible)
The IR laser of the LLM-VarioRay, which is not visible to the naked eye, is usually used in combination with night vision goggles (NVG). In this way, it enables a significant increase in night combat capability, surprising effect, and hit probability. The range here depends on various environmental factors and can reach up to 2000 m.

IR illuminator (not visible)
In addition, the LLM-VarioRay laser light module has an electronically focusable infrared illuminator, which is not visible to the naked eye. In combination with night vision goggles (NVG), this provides optimum illumination at night, in dark rooms and in poorly lit target areas. The LLM-VarioRay includes the option of using a diffuser on the IR illuminator to support Close Quaters Battle (CQB) or indoor engagements.

Outstanding laser safety

For eye protection, the LLM-VarioRay uses Rheinmetall's patented concept of color-coded trigger cables / dongles for laser and laser light modules.
"Train as you fight" - the free choice of power-defining trigger cables / dongles enables realistic training with mission-relevant equipment. The laser power is - depending on your choice - either reduced (training) or released to the maximum (combat).

Custom colors available, e.g. blue for training, black and grey for combat.
