Rheinmetall – Taking responsibility in a changing world!

Rheinmetall is offering a field-proven and versatile vehicle portfolio on wheels and tracks. This includes combat, support, logistics and special vehicles and is constantly evolving.

Sensors, guidance systems, protection technologies and effectors turn Rheinmetall's wheeled and tracked vehicles into highly effective systems.
Turret systems

Rheinmetall is one of the world's foremost makers of advanced air defence systems. The company leads the global market in automatic cannon-based air defence, and is the sole system supplier able to offer fire control technology, automatic cannon, integrated guided missiles and Ahead airburst ammunition. Air surveillance and tracking radars round off the portfolio.

The Rheinmetall Air Defence products are registered as trademarks under the established brand Oerlikon

Digitalisation, networking, cyber – Rheinmetall covers the entire chain of effects in the system network: from sensors and the networking of platforms and soldiers to the (partially) automated connection of effectors. This is complemented by solutions for protection in cyberspace. Comprehensive training and simulation solutions round off the portfolio in this field.

Rheinmetall "Digital Brigade"
Battlesuite – The interoperable military ecosystem of the future
Digital forces – Land operations
Interoperable network and digitisation give the edge in multi-domain operations (MDO). A real-time common operating picture, enables armed forces to act earlier, faster, autonomously and more precisely. Rheinmetall, an expert in digitalization and system integration with a vast network of partners, provides applications taking forces to the next level.
Superiority on the battlefield through digitalization – that is our common goal!
Panzerjaeger concept

Mobile lethality concept

The Panzerjaeger is a new modular concept, based on the latest technologies, designed to provide long range anti-armour capability, superior situational awareness and fire superiority. It is a fully integrated system with the ability to incorporate several sensors and effectors. All subsystems can be integrated into almost any vehicle platform ranging from light 4x4 to heavy tracked platforms.

Solutions for deployed operations

Rheinmetall offers services for deployed operations support and supplies armed forces and security organizations with services from a single source, including operational support, depot logistics and the disposal of unused ammunition. Since 1999, Rheinmetall has been a trusted provider of camp services to armed forces around the world, providing a full range of real-life support services. These include construction, logistics, airfield support, protection, and camp services such as catering, accommodation, water and energy supply, laundry services and waste management, transport and administration, and other amenities that enable a field camp’s function. In addition, Rheinmetall is a full-service provider for the integration of medical technology in tent or shelter-based field hospitals and other environments.

Rheinmetall is specialized in developing and producing high-quality components and innovative systems for protecting people, vehicles, aircraft, ships and installations and offers a wide range of high-effective active and passive protection solutions coupled with soft-kill systems.
Loitering munitions
Today's battlefields require precise ammunition systems that can track and engage time-sensitive targets and can be controlled or even recalled until the final strike. Loitering Munitions play a vital role in this. Rheinmetall has therefore teamed up with UVision to offer European customers the most advanced systems in this field.
Uncrewed aircraft systems
The LUNA NG, an uncrewed aircraft system (UAS), is the latest element in the LUNA system family for real-time airborne surveillance, detection and tracking. With its ultra-light but highly stable fuselage structure made of CFRP (carbon fibre reinforced plastic), it offers a flight time of over 12 hours – and with its data link range of over 100km, it achieves a spatial coverage of more than 30,000 km2.

Rheinmetall manufactures Air Start Units (ASU) for commercial and military purposes to start all main engines of today's and tomorrows generation of aircraft up to the most demanding B777-300ER and A380. The portfolio also includes the first fully electric ASU on the market. The MSU-GP 200T with integrated ground power is in use by the German Air Force, and the air start unit of choice for their Eurofighter aircraft.

The Rheinmetall MSU family of ASUs has proven its reliability since 1996.

A secure supply of fuel for the armed forces is a basic prerequisite for their combat readiness. Fossil fuel supply chains established today for “peacetime operations” are logistically complex and fragile. In the event of war, these supply chains are likely to collapse. Investments in local renewable energy sources and in the ability to synthesise e-fuels will secure the energy supply for the armed forces in Europe as a key combat capability, which can be implemented cheaply and quickly, is robust, uses existing logistics systems and at the same time contributes to defossilisation.

Different kinds of e-fuels can be provided, such as sustainable aviation fuel, diesel and marine diesel.

Rheinmetall pursues a holistic approach to equipping the German Armed Forces. The wide variety of products from a single source makes it possible to offer a product portfolio perfectly tailored to the needs of the customer, orientated to the Bundeswehr's capability domains. The command and control domain forms the foundation that connects all players on the battlefield with Rheinmetall solutions. The development of our products for the medium forces was based on the maxim of scalable intensity. This means that all vehicles and platforms are specially adapted to the mission in order to utilise economies of scale and reduce costs.
